*Police Seized 05 Vehicles and apprehended 05 persons involved in illegal transportation of minerals in Reshipora Awantipora*
Awantipora 02 March 2026:
In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Police Awantipora have intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities in the Police district Awantipora and has seized 02 Loaders ,02 Tractors and 01 Dumper involved in illegal transportation of minerals in Datpora and Reshipora area.
Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police party of Police Post Reshipora headed by Incharge Police Post Reshipora SI Meheraj-ud-Din under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora seized five Vehicles. The person involved in the said crime have been identified as:
1) Jahangeer Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohd Ayoub R/o Chakoora pulwama
2) Nadeem Ahmad Mir s/o Ab khaliq R/o Litter pulwama
3) Sajad Ahmad Dar s/o Ab Razaq Dar R/o Reshipora
4) Ali Mohd Dar s/o Ab khaliq R/o Reshipora
5) Zubair Ahmad Mir s/o Ab khaliq R/o Reshipora
Accordingly, case FIR NOs 53/2026 and 54/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
