Kupwara police continuing with its crackdown and undeterred efforts against Drugs has achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting a drug peddler at Lalpora
Police station Lalpora established random nakas during a routine patrolling.One such naka was established at Darpora and during naka checking one person was found moving in a suspicious manner.Upon being signalled to stop the said person tried to flee away but was tactfully apprehended on spot .Later upon preliminary questioning his name was found as Amir Faroq Mir s/o Faroq Ahmad R/o Darpora Lolab and during his personal search contraband substance was also recovered besides 02 walkie Talkie sets,Samsung mobile phones and cash was seized.
Taking cognizance of the case FIR number 36/2025 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at ps Lalpora and investigation has been initiated to explore the forward and backward connections of the case.
