𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗿; 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱

Continuing its drive against the drug menace, Budgam Police arrested a drug peddler in Chadoora and recovered heroin-like substance from his possession. The vehicle used in the commission of the crime was also seized.

A police party from Police Station Chadoora, led by PSI Goverdhan Singh, established a checkpoint at Durbugh Crossing where they intercepted a suspicious Mahindra Thar (Reg. No. DL4CNA7913). On noticing the police, the driver attempted to flee but was apprehended. During the search, contraband was recovered from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Nath S/o Mohammad Ismail Nath R/o Parnew, Wazir Bagh, Budgam. He was arrested on the spot and a case FIR No. 175/2025 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chadoora. Investigation is underway.
