DC Srinagar inspects progress of work on Hostel for Wards of Ex-Servicemen/Martyrs at Peerbagh Executing agency directed to accelerate interior works for timely completion of the 100-bed facility

SRNAGAR DECEMBER 02: Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo Tuesday conducted a site visit to under completion Hostel for wards of Ex-Servicemen/Martyrs at Peerbagh to inspect the quality and progress of work being executed on the project.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; District Social Welfare Officer, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad; Tehsildar Chanpora, Kifayat Hussain, Executive Engineer of R&B, Khalid Mehmood, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer and other Officers.
On the occasion, the DC took round of the various sections of the building and reviewed the progress of ongoing construction works. The DC was informed that civil works part of the project, being built at an estimated cost of Rs 7.44 Crore is reaching its final stage.
The DC instructed the executing agency to expedite the remaining interior works and ensure that the project is fully completed on priority.
The upcoming hostel is a G+2 structure comprising 25 rooms with a capacity of 100 beds, designed to cater to the residential needs of the wards of ex-servicemen and martyrs.
