ADGP Sh. Anand Jain Visits IRP 2nd Battalion Headquarters, Reviews Operational Readiness

Rajouri, May 3- :-In a significant move aimed at evaluating and enhancing operational preparedness, Sh. Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed J&K, conducted an official visit to the IRP 2nd Battalion Headquarters at Fatehpur, Rajouri.
Upon his arrival, ADGP Jain was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour. He was accompanied by senior police officials, including Sh. Tajinder Singh, IPS, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range; Sh. Vinod Kumar, IPS, DIG Armed Jammu; and Sh. Rajinder Singh, SSP APCR Jammu.
During his inspection, ADGP Jain took a comprehensive tour of the battalion’s infrastructure, including the administrative block, motor transport fleet, stores, and barracks. Emphasizing the importance of infrastructure in maintaining operational effectiveness and boosting troop morale, he issued immediate directives for the renovation and beautification of the premises.
A mega darbar was also convened during the visit, providing personnel an opportunity to raise their service-related and welfare concerns directly. ADGP Jain assured the force of timely redressal of all genuine grievances and directed the concerned officers to address the issues with urgency and sensitivity.
Continuing his review, Sh. Jain visited the C and E Companies of the battalion stationed at Shadhra Sharief and the DC Office Rajouri. He assessed the prevailing security environment and instructed the officers to maintain heightened vigilance and operational readiness in view of current challenges.
The visit underscored the commitment of senior police leadership to the welfare of personnel and the effectiveness of field units. Also present during the visit were Sh. Gaurav Sikarwar, IPS, SSP Rajouri; Sh. Nasir Ahmed, SSP and Commandant IRP 2nd Battalion; along with other senior officers.
