Srinagar, Mar 4 : Passenger Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) have been permitted to travel from Jammu towards Srinagar as well as from the Valley towards Jammu.
An official told news agency JKNS, Passenger Light Motor Vehicles have been permitted to travel from Jammu towards Srinagar.
Commuters have been urged to follow lane discipline, as overtaking could lead to traffic congestion, official said.
Authorities have also advised travelers to undertake their journey during daylight hours and avoid unnecessary halts between Ramban and Banihal due to the risk of landslides and shooting stones.
Meanwhile, Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar later in the day, following an assessment of the road conditions, official added.
