In a significant breakthrough, Anantnag Police have successfully apprehended a long-time absconder who had been evading arrest for an extended period.
The accused, Rattan Chand, son of Vikru Chand and resident of Gurah Kalyal, Billawar, was wanted in connection with FIR No. 45/2013, registered under sections 366, 376, and 343 RPC dated 15/05/2013. After sustained efforts and meticulous tracking, he was arrested from Mahanpur, Basohli, District Kathua.
The individual has been taken into custody and will be produced before the concerned court for necessary legal action.
