Handwara, February 5: The daily wager employees of the R&B Department in Handwara have raised concerns over the non-payment of their salaries since 2020. These employees, who have been working tirelessly to ensure the smooth functioning of the department, are facing extreme financial hardships due to the prolonged delay in their payments.

According to the aggrieved workers, despite repeated appeals to higher authorities, their issue remains unresolved, leaving them struggling to meet basic needs. Many employees have expressed frustration and disappointment, highlighting the impact this situation has had on their families.

“We have been performing our duties sincerely, even in harsh conditions. Yet, we have not received a single penny for years. We urge the administration to take immediate steps to release our pending salaries,” said one of the daily wagers.
