Srinagar Police have arrested three notorious dr*g peddlers belonging to the same family from the jurisdiction of Police Station Khanyar, recovering a substantial quantity of heroin worth lakhs of rupees.
The accused have been identified as Gulzar Ahmad Mir, his daughter Muskan Gulzar Mir, and his son Ubaid Gulzar Mir, all residents of Baghi Roop Singh, Miskeen Bagh, Khanyar.
Acting on specific inputs, a police team intercepted a Scorpio vehicle (JK01 AW 8898) and during the search recovered a large quantity of heroin. The vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 08/2026 under Sections 8/21–29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Khanyar. Further investigation is underway to trace the forward and backward linkages of the drug network, along with a detailed financial probe to identify and attach properties acquired through illegal proceeds.
