Rain triggers mud slide on Srinagar-Kargil road

Ganderbal, July 5: Incessant rains triggered mudslide on the Srinagar-Kargil road near Kulan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Trust that different parts of Ganderbal district witnessed heavy rainfall since last night. The rains triggered mudslides and created a flood-like situation in Shah Mohalla Kulan.

The mud has accumulated on the road. Men and machinery have been pressed into the service to clear the road,” the official said. (KNT)
