Three burglars arrested in Budgam; stolen property recovered

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that they have arrested three burglars in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman said, “On 29/08/2022 Police Station Khanshab received a complaint from one Farooq Ahmad Dar son of Gul Dar resident of Halipora Kokernag to the effect that they are working as contractors and are constructing a cafeteria at Tangnar. They had kept some wooden ballies and Ply sheets in the under construction structure and it was found that about 150 wooden ballies and 25 plywood sheets are missing and have been stolen by some thieves.”
The spokesman said that upon this information a Case FIR No 150/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Khanshab and investigation taken up.
“During course of investigation, some suspects were brought for questioning and after strenuous efforts, zeroed in on two suspects namely Gulzar Ahmad Hajam son of Abdul Gani Hajam and Ab Hameed Hajam son of Lal Hajam residents of Raiyar Ich. Both the suspects were put to sustained questioning and they confessed that they have committed the crime and have kept some of the stolen property at Raiyar. On their disclosure, following stolen property was recovered :Wooden Ballies =37 Nos and Ply Sheets= 04 Nos,” he said.
Both the accused have been arrested in the instant case and more recoveries and arrests are expected and the investigation is under way.
He said that in another breakthrough, today Police Station Khansahib arrested one burglar namely Mohammad Yousuf Sheikh son of Rehman Sheikh resident of Check Raithan* During questioning he confessed his involvement in case FIR number 109/2022 U/S 457,380 IPC which stood registered earlier in Police Station Khansahib.
Following Gold items were recovered from his house.Golden Necklace=01 number, Golden Chains =02 numbers, Golden Pendulum =02 numbers, Golden Rings =05 numbers, Earring =01 pair. Besides cash of rupees 40,000/= was also recovered from his possession. More arrests and recoveries are expected.
