
Srinagar, Oct 5 : Weatherman on Wednesday forecast mainly dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir in next 24 hours.
A meteorological department here told GNS that no large change was expected for subsequent two days.
As regards the mercury, he said that Srinagar recorded a low of 9.2ยฐC against 9.6ยฐC on the previous night. The temperature was 0.7ยฐC above normal for the summer capital during this time of the year, he said.
Qazigund recorded a low of 7.8ยฐC against 7.6ยฐC on the previous night. The temperature was 0.5ยฐC above normal there, he said.
In Pahalgam, the mercury settled at 5.1ยฐC against 4.8ยฐC on the previous night and it was 0.6ยฐC above normal for the south Kashmir resort, he said.
Kokernag recorded a low of 8.3ยฐC against 8.9ยฐC on the previous night and it was 0.3ยฐC below normal for the place, he said.
World famous Gulmarg resort recorded a low of 5.5ยฐC against 4.4ยฐC on the previous night. It was 0.4ยฐC below normal for the north Kashmir place, he said.
In Kupwara town, the mercury settled at 6.6ยฐC against 8.8ยฐC on the previous night, the official said. It was 0.6ยฐC below normal for the north Kashmir place, he said.
Jammu recorded a low of 19.6ยฐC against 19.8ยฐC previous night. It was 1.2ยฐC below normal for J&Kโs winter capital, he said. Banihal recorded a low of 7.8ยฐC, Batote 12.1ยฐC, Katra 18.2ยฐC and Bhadarwah 10.1ยฐC. (GNS)
