
DGP J&K Police honors 32 personnel for bravery displayed during Doda encounter
‘Foreign terrorists operating in Jammu region will be neutralised soon’
Srinagar, July 06 :-The Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, R. R. Swain, honored 32 police personnel for their bravery during the Doda encounter.
This recognition as per News Agency Kashmir Scroll took place at a function in Kathua, where nine Special Police Officers (SPOs) were regularized as constables for their commendable actions in a recent operation in Hiranagar, Kathua district.
The DGP emphasized the importance of supporting and fast-tracking the recognition of SPOs for their contributions.
He also highlighted the ongoing efforts to strengthen village defense groups and the role of local communities in ensuring security and cooperation with the police forces (Business & Financial) (IDRW).
The Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir emphasized that the days of threat and intimidation by foreign terrorists in the Jammu region are numbered. He assured that the security forces, with active cooperation from the general public, are making significant strides in neutralizing these threats.
The DGP highlighted that the efforts to dismantle terrorist operations have been increasingly successful due to the vigilant support from local communities. “Foreign terrorists cannot bring back the old days of fear,” he stated confidently. The ongoing cooperation between the police and the residents is proving to be a decisive factor in ensuring the region’s safety and stability.
As operations continue, the DGP reiterated the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to maintaining peace and security in the region, stressing that the elimination of these threats is now just a matter of time.
