Intense Cold Wave Unabated In J&K, Ladakh

Intense cold wave coupled with mist and haze at places continued unabated in J&K and Ladakh on Tuesday.

A meteorological department official here told that Pahalgam remained the coldest place, recording a low of minus 3.8°C.

He said it was 0.5°C below normal for the famous tourist resort in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Srinagar, he said, recorded a minimum of minus 2.2 against minus 3.4°C which was the coldest so far this season in the summer capital.

Having remained engulfed in mist this morning, the MeT official said, today’s temperature was 1.3°C below the normal for this time of the year in Srinagar.
