A moderate to strong intensity Western disturbance is going to affect over Jammu and Kashmir from night of 09th march to 12 March to bring widespread heavy rain/snow .
Heavy snowfall is possible over higher reaches including Sonamarg- Zojila axis, Sinthan top – Peer ki Gali, Razdan top – Sadhna top, Gurez Valley and other upper reaches. Very heavy snow depth is expected over extreme higher reaches.
Kashmir plains will receive a moderate to heavy rain/ gusty winds/thunderstorm with higher activity of North Kashmir. Peak activity is expected on 10 and 12th March evening.
