**CS Atal Dulloo Chairs 12th UT-Level NCORD Meeting, Emphasizes Comprehensive Approach to Combat Drug Menace in J&K**

Srinagar, January 8: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired the 12th Union Territory (UT) Level NCORD (Narcotics Coordination) meeting, focusing on stringent law enforcement, effective rehabilitation, and mass awareness to address the growing drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dulloo stressed the importance of enhanced investigations, capacity-building programs for law enforcement officers, and leveraging property attachment provisions under the PIT NDPS Act. These measures, he noted, are showing promising results in curbing the drug trade.

He also underscored the critical need to expand de-addiction facilities, promote community engagement, and foster collaboration with the education sector to raise awareness among youth. “A holistic and coordinated approach is key to addressing this pressing issue,” Dulloo stated.

The meeting highlighted the integration of modern technology and inter-agency coordination to strengthen the war against drugs. Dulloo urged stakeholders to work collectively, emphasizing that a mix of prevention, enforcement, and rehabilitation will pave the way for a drug-free J&K.

The UT administration’s continued efforts in this regard reflect its commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring a secure future for the region.
