*CEO SONAMARG RESPONSIBLE FOR SPREAD OF DEVASTATING FIRE*MLA KANGAN
*IN DECEMBER LAST AFTER FIRST MEETING WITH SONAMARG TRADERS ALL MODALITIES WERE COMPLETED FOR FIRE STATION*
Sonamarg, Feb 08: MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali blamed CEO Sonamarg development authority for the for huge damage caused due to the devastating fire which broke out from one shop and later engulfed dozens of hotels and shops.
MLA after assessing the situation at Sonamarg said that it was in December last I take the step and officers from fire and emergency department were made to visit the Sonamarg and all formalities were completed to set up a fire station here immediately, but there was accommodation problem and the matter was taken several times with CEO and despite my repeated meetings with the CEO for establishment particularly to provide any accommodation here for the fire tenders the CEO didn’t provide any accommodation facilities.
MLA said he had the meeting with traders body last year who demanded a fire station and I immediately take the matter with fire and emergency department and they also take immediate steps for the fire service station but delay in accommodation was the only hurdle that the fire service station was not made functional here till date.
Mian Mehar assured that the fire service station will be functional within couple of weeks, MLA also assured every possible support to the effected traders of Sonamarg.
