Drug peddler arrested in Budgam: Police
In continuation of its steadfast efforts towards eradication of drug menace from the society, Budgam Police has arrested 01 drug Peddler and recovered Psychotropic substance from his Possession.
The Police party of PP Narbal established a check point at Javid Colony, Bazar Mohalla, Narbal wherein they noticed one suspicious person carrying a nylon bag. On seeing the Police party, he tried to flee away from the spot but he was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search Charas like substance weighing about 83 grms was recovered from his possession. He was arrested on spot and was identified as Khazir Mohd Sheikh S/o Sanaullah Sheikh R/o Bazar Mohalla Narbal.
In this regard, a case bearing FIR No. 122/2024 u/s 8/20 NDPS has been registered in PS Magam and investigation has been initiated.
The people of Budgam are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Budgam Police assures that the identity of the informer will not be divulged.
