Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drug peddling from the society, Budgam Police arrested two drug peddlers in Beerwah area and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
During Naka checking duty, the Police Party of Police Station Beerwah headed by ASI Mohammad Shafi intercepted two persons for checking purposes near Larbal bridge, however while seeing the police party they threw a green-coloured polythene bag on the roadside and tried to flee from the spot but they were apprehended tactfully and while checking the said bag, Charas like substance in powdered form weighing about 575 grams was recovered from the bag. Subsequently, they were arrested on the spot for further course of action as per law and during questioning they revealed their identity as ‘Rameez Ahmad Ganie S/o Mohammad Ramzan Ganie R/o Hardu Lattina and Danish Ahmad Sheikh S/o Abdul Ahad Sheikh R/o Larbal’.
