Beerwah, Feb 10, A scooty rider sustained critical injuries in a road accident that occurred on Tuesday on the Beerwah–Arwah road after a collision with a Baleno car, officials said.
According to locals present at the scene, the impact of the collision was severe, leaving the scooty rider seriously injured.
Immediately after the accident, locals rushed to help and shifted the injured person to Sub-District Hospital Beerwah for urgent medical attention.
Hospital sources said the condition of the injured rider was critical at the time of admission. The identity of the injured person was not immediately known, and further medical details were awaited.
Police officials said they have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. A case has been taken up, and traffic movement in the area was restored shortly after the incident.
