Mental health is the spectrum of psychological well_being that allows an individual to perceive the world with clarity, engage in meaningful social interactions, and adapt to change with confidence. It is the state of inner equilibrium where one can process experiences, cope with stress, and pursue goals while maintaining a sense of self_worth and purpose.
Mental health means keeping our minds healthy, mankind generally is more focused on keeping their physical body healthy. People tend to ignore the state of their minds. Human superiority other over animals lies in his superior mind. Man has been able to control life due to his highly developed brain. Hence, it becomes essential for a man to keep both physical and mental health healthy. Both physical and mental health are equally important for better performance and results.
But do we care of mental health as well?
No, we live in a time where we consider physical health a priority , but even thinking about mental health is seen as a sin I reckon. One should have enough understanding to know that if we are mentally fit, then we can expect physically as well . If we talk about India , countless people have become mental health patients , yet no one is willing to address this issue why. ? If we want to be advanced in different aspects then why are we lagging behind in this matter? Since a country is recognized by its citizens.
According to the report by (WHO) World Health Organization, fifty six million, i.e. , 4.5℅ of Indians suffer From depression and another thirty eight million i.e., 3.5℅ Indians suffer from anxiety disorders. It happens because of unawareness of mental health care.
Mental health is a crucial because it affects how we think, feel, and act. It influences our relationships, work performance and over all well being. Prioritizing mental health helps us cope with many things including stress, build resilience, and live a more balanced life. Poor mental health can lead to Decreased productivity, strained relationships, and a lower quality of life. It can also increase the risk of physical health issues. Exacerbate stress, and hinder one’s ability to cope with everyday challenges. It can turn a normal person into an abnormal one. And we consider it a minor issue.
“A PERSON WITH A MENTAL HEALTH CONDITION CANNOT OVER COME IT UNTIL AND UNLESS THEY CHANGE THEIR MINDSET AND APPROACH TO LIFE . ”
