Pace of Smart City works doubled after G-20 summit: CEO Athar Aamir

Says 11 projects completed after culmination of event

Srinagar, Jul 11 : CEO Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), Athar Aamir Khan on Tuesday said that the works across Srinagar are going on in full swing and the pace has been doubled after the culmination of G-20 event in the Valley.

Talking to the media persons, Khan, who is also Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that a major project was among the 11 projects that have been completed since the culmination of G-20 event in Srinagar.

He said that works at several places across Srinagar including in downtown areas are going on.

The pace of works has been doubled after the culmination of the G-20 event here,” he said, adding that some of the works are being carried forward by the Roads and Building (R&B) department for which the funds are coming from smart city.

“The time has gone when the roads were being dug after being renovated. We are making every effort to ensure that the roads are not dug for the next 10-20 years,” he said, adding that the smart city is a collection of all the departments, who are making the things good on the ground—(KNO)
