Srinagar: Madr-e-Meharban Institute of Nursing Sciences & Research (MMINSR), SKIMS, achieved a significant milestone as it celebrated its 10th College Annual Day. The event was a vibrant testament to a decade of academic excellence and commitment to healthcare education. Themed “Job Readiness & Employability in Healthcare Setting,” the Annual Day festivities resonated with the institute’s dedication to preparing its students for dynamic roles in the healthcare sector. The theme emphasized the critical need for continuous skill enhancement to effectively address the evolving challenges and demands within healthcare.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests and officials, notably Dr. M Ashraf Ganie, Director of SKIMS, who presided as the chief guest. Dr. Ganie lauded MMINSR for its evolution into a prominent institution offering comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs, which originally began with foundational diploma courses. Acknowledging the crucial role of nursing professionals in patient care, he commended MMINSR for its significant contributions to nursing education and pledged ongoing support to further elevate the institution. . Emphasizing the need for technology-driven education and rigorous research initiatives, he urged students to engage in competitive projects and gain extensive clinical exposure.

The presence of key figures from the medical fraternity and academia underscored MMINSR’s pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing professionals. Their participation highlighted the institute’s steadfast commitment to fostering academic excellence and driving research-based advancements in healthcare education.

Professor Shariq Masoodi, Dean Medical Faculty and Guest of Honour, echoed Dr. Ganie’s sentiments, expressing joy in celebrating MMINSR’s 10th Annual College Day and reaffirming the college’s dedication to upholding academic excellence. He underscored MMINSR’s unwavering dedication to nurturing academic brilliance, emphasizing the pivotal role it plays in shaping the future generation of healthcare professionals.
Additional Director SKIMS, Dr. Firdous Giri, and Medical Superintendent SKIMS, Dr. Farooq A Jan, lauded MMINSR’s faculty for their dedication and emphasized the imperative of skill refinement for enhanced employability, highlighting nursing’s integral role in serving humanity.
