National Child Development Council celebrates World Population Day

Srinagar: The National Child Development Council (NCDC) on Monday held a core meeting, during which the members of council celebrated World Population Day.

On the occasion, the members shared their concerns regarding the awareness activities practiced in various nations, and opined that real solutions are needed to combat the population issues.

A press release issued by the NCDC reads that, “Some nations are overpopulated where as some are underpopulated. Solutions are needed to maintain a balanced population state in order to manage the resources.”

During the meeting, NCDC Core committee appreciated the Indian Government for Agnipath recruitment scheme. The members opined that the scheme is good for army, youth and nation.

Notably, NCDC is a self-governing national child welfare organization established to promote women and child welfare and ensure child education in India.
