Police organises Tiranga rallies across the valley
Srinagar, August 12 : The Jammu and Kashmir Police organized a series of patriotic events across the Kashmir valley, including Tiranga rallies and plantation drives, under the theme “Ek Paed Shaheedon Ke Naam.” These initiatives were part of the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign, aimed at fostering a sense of patriotism and honoring the sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs.
In Anantnag, a massive Tiranga Bike Rally was organized, starting from DPL Anantnag and concluding at Humayun Muzammil Degree College, Khanabal. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from local citizens, police personnel, CRPF, and Army officials. The event left a lasting impression of unity and patriotism.
Similarly, in Handwara a Tiranga bike rally was held in Handwara Town, concluding at DPL Handwara. The participants took a pledge to contribute to building a developed India.
In Baramulla, the police, in collaboration with the Social Forestry Department, organized a plantation drive at District Police Lines. The event saw participation from Next of Kin (NOKs) of Police Martyrs, police officers, and officials. The NOKs were also felicitated during the event.
In Ganderbal the police, along with the civil administration and other security forces, organized Tiranga rallies across the district. The main rally in Qamariya Stadium Ganderbal was followed by plantation drives at various schools in the district.
In Awantipora a plantation drive was organized in Tral, followed by visits to the families of police martyrs by police and civil administration officers.
Similar events were held in Pulwama and Budgam, where senior police officers visited the families of martyrs, listened to their grievances, and assured them of support.
