Awantipora, Jan. 13. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, IUST organized a function and celebrated the festival to appreciate diversity and strengthen brotherhood and harmony under Ek Bharat Shresta Initiative. The festival also called Shishur Saenkraat in Kashmir marks the solar transition to pleasant and warm seasons from extremely cold winters.
Besides others, Prof Naseer Iqbal (Registrar IUST), Mr. Sameer Wazir (Finance Officer), Prof. Mohmad Amin (I/c Director Rinchen Shah Center for West Himalayan Cultures), Dr Asifa Baba( Dean of Students) were also present.
