Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli Reviews NCC Activities in Kashmir

Srinagar,Feb 13–Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC Directorate Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (JK&L), undertook a three-day visit to the Kashmir region to assess NCC activities and engage with cadets, instructors, and civil staff. His visit encompassed key interactions at the NCC Group Headquarters in Srinagar and three NCC Battalions: 1 J&K Battalion, 1 J&K (Girls) Battalion, and 1 J&K Naval Unit.
During his visit, Maj Gen Bevli also visited educational institutions with NCC programs, including Army Public School, BB Cantt, and Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, where he met with the respective Principals and discussed NCC’s role in youth development.
The General Officer received a ceremonial Guard of Honour from NCC cadets and was briefed by the Group Commander, NCC Srinagar, and Commanding Officers of the three NCC units. The briefing highlighted the ongoing expansion of NCC in the region, key operational updates, and future plans to further strengthen youth engagement.
Praising the dedication of NCC officers and staff, Maj Gen Bevli commended their efforts in channelizing the energy of Kashmiri youth towards nation-building. He lauded the NCC cadets for their commitment to discipline, leadership, and community service.
In his address to NCC personnel, including Permanent Instructors and Civilian staff, the ADG encouraged them to continue their mission with renewed enthusiasm and teamwork. He emphasized the importance of dedication and collective effort in ensuring the sustained growth of NCC in Jammu & Kashmir.
Maj Gen Bevli also met with the Corps Commander, Chinar Corps, to discuss strategies for expanding NCC’s outreach and initiatives aimed at youth empowerment in the Valley.
Providing guidance on training and operational matters, the General Officer inspired all ranks to remain committed to shaping a brighter future for Kashmir’s youth. His visit reaffirmed the NCC Directorate JK&L’s commitment to fostering national integration and youth development in the region.
