Crackdown against drug peddlers continue, 02 more drug peddlers arrests by Handwara police

Kupwara: Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested two peddlers and recovered narcotics in Handwara area.

According to police statement issued here on July 12, 2023, a police party of Police Station Handwara, while on naka duty near ITI Handwara, apprehended two persons who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner the statement underlined ”

On search, around 95 gm of Charas like substance was recovered from their possession. The persons have been identified as Amir Yousuf Dar S/o Mohammad Yousuf and Junaid Ahmad Dar S/o Ab Rahim both residents of village Waskora.

In relation to this, FIR No.146/2023 U/S 8/20, 29 NDPS Act registered in PS Handwara and investigation initiated.
