IED detected and defused in Handwara

 
Handwara, Oct. 13 (KS): Security forces today detected an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a road opening party (ROP) found one IED in the Ganapora Kralgund area of Handwara, which was later detected along with a joint team of police.

The official said the IED was destroyed by the bomb disposal squad without causing any damage.

Meanwhile, traffic movement in the area has also been restored. (KS)
