The Jammu and Kashmir Directorate of School Education has announced winter vacations for schools in the summer zones of Jammu Division. According to an official order issued on December 13, 2025, all government and recognized private schools up to the higher secondary level are required to observe winter vacations according to the following schedule:
Pre-primary to 5th grade: December 22, 2025, to January 10, 2026
6th to 8th grade: December 26, 2025, to January 10, 2026
9th to 12th grade: December 29, 2025, to January 10, 2026
The order also states that during the vacation period, all teaching faculty must remain available for any academic activity, and the teaching staff should report back to their respective schools by January 10, 2026. Any deviation from this schedule will be subject to strict action under the rules.
