*CM urges doctors to serve beyond cities*
*โRural areas too deserve better healthcareโ*

Jammu, Feb 14 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said the government is trying to ensure that doctors do not simply practice in cities only as the people living in the rural areas also deserve access to medicine as well as medical facilities.
Addressing a gathering of medicos during Medicon-25 medical conference held here, the Chief Minister said, “I believe it is the younger doctors who can drive this change.”
According to the news agencyโ Omar said that the governmentโparticularly Health and Medical Education Minister Sakeena Itoo and Secretary Health Syed Abid Rashid Shahโis actively working to improve healthcare services in rural regions.
The administration is also exploring ways to enhance the lives of doctors by increasing funding and improving medical facilities, he said.
Praising the dedication of healthcare professionals, the Chief Minister said doctors are engaged in Godโs work, saving lives and bringing hope to patients and their families. โYou are there to celebrate moments of joy with your patients and also stand by them in times of grief,โ he said.
Abdullah said that medicine is a continuously evolving field, and doctors must keep learning new techniques and advancements to provide the best careโ
