Jammu, Feb 14, : BJP leader and national executive member Ravinder Raina has criticized PDP President Mehbooba Mufti for her remarks, calling them “irresponsible and condemnable.” He accused her of attempting to mislead the people and regain political relevance by fueling polarization in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba, during a PDP membership drive in Jammu, had likened the issue of Jammu and Kashmir to an “incurable disease,” alleging BJP’s indifference and comparing its approach to that of Pakistan’s military leadership.
Reacting sharply, Raina said, “Her words echo separatist rhetoric. It is shocking that a former chief minister is using language that undermines national unity.” He accused her of sympathizing with anti-national forces and indirectly validating terrorism and separatism in the region.
Raina reaffirmed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the government remains committed to national security and unity. “There is no space for terrorism, separatism, or anti-national activities. Those disrupting peace will face strict action,” he stated.
He demanded an apology from Mehbooba Mufti, warning that her rhetoric only encourages divisive forces and undermines the sacrifices of security personnel in restoring peace.
