
May 14: In order to bridge the gap between police & public, Police in Budgam facilitated Police Community Partnership Group meetings (PCPG) at Police Station Beerwah & Police Post Hardipanzoo.
At Police Station Beerwah meeting was chaired by SHO PS Beerwah Insp. Mudasir Naseer and at Police Post Hardipanzoo, the meeting was chaired by In-Charge PP Hardipanzoo S.I Athar Nazir. The meetings were attended by respectables of Meripora Beerwah and Imams, Numbardars, respectables of Hardipanzoo.
During the meetings, various issues of public importance including curbing drug menace, steps/initiatives taken to curb the menace of substance abuse especially among teenagers was discussed. Chairing officers stressed upon the participants to spread awareness about drug abuse and its ill effects on our society. Participants raised various issues to which they were assured that whatever pertains to police will be resolved on priority. At the conclusion, chairing officers requested participants to cooperate with police in eradicating the drug menace and other social crimes so that peaceful atmosphere in the areas is maintained.
The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
