IndiGo Flight with MP Onboard Makes Emergency Landing

SRINAGAR: An IndiGo flight carrying 151 passengers, including Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav, made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport on Saturday, averting a major mishap, officials said, according to multiple media reports.
The aircraft, as per Hindustan Times, developed a technical snag mid-air, was immediately diverted back to the airport, where emergency protocols were activated. Airport authorities confirmed that all passengers and crew members were safe.
IndiGo’s Delhi-bound flight 6E 2111 was on its take-off roll when the aircraft failed to lift off. The captain brought the plane to a halt on the runway before it could reach the end, preventing a potentially serious accident.
The airline stated that the aircraft was grounded for inspection and alternative arrangements were being made for the passengers. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
