**CM Omar Abdullah Focuses on Transforming J&K’s Urban Landscape**

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired key meetings to strategize urban development in the region. The discussions revolved around implementing policies for **Land Pooling**, **Transferable Development Rights (TDR)**, and **Transit-Oriented Development (TOD)** to foster better infrastructure, sustainable mobility, and heritage conservation.
Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) also featured prominently, with an emphasis on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for efficient waste disposal and recycling. The CM urged the Housing and Urban Development Department to spearhead projects that could serve as **success stories**, building stakeholder confidence and inspiring broader adoption.
The government is also exploring collaborations with the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) to accelerate infrastructure initiatives. These efforts mark a significant step towards transforming J&K’s urban landscape into a model of sustainable development.
