Budgam: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
During naka checking at Alamdar colony crossing, police party of Police Station Cheraresharief intercepted one person roaming in suspicious conditions who was carrying a nylon bag, upon seeing police party he tried to flee from the spot but the police party apprehended him tactfully. During his personal search, Charas like sticks wrapped in maize cob cover 07 numbers (90 Grams) and Cannabis like powder (1Kg 600grams) was found in the nylon bag.He was arrested on spot and subsequently identified as:- Gowhar Ahmad Parra S/o Ghulam Ahmad Parra R/o Sarban Charar Sharief
Case FIR number 10/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Charari Sharief & investigation taken up.
