Solo Barefoot March to ensure Justice for Open Merit Category- Dr Abdul Bari Naik

15 Feb. 2025. Kupwara:- Dr Abdul Bari Naik will start a solo Barefoot March from Kupwara to Qazigund on 15 Feb 2025, to bring awareness regarding impact of New Reservation Policy and demanding Government to rationalise the Reservation. As per census 2011, General Category Population was more than 70% & less than 30 % fall in different categories like ST’s SC’s OBC’s etc but unfortunately under New Reservation Policy 30% Population enjoying 70% benefits in Jobs as well as in Education while 70 % Population face Chaos, stress, Tension, Trauma and other psychological problems. New Reservation Policy even fails Darwin’s Theory Survival of fittest. From Cradle to Grave General Category suffers a lot not only during School, College or University days but after pass out even in Competitive Exams like UGC NET, Civil Services, NEET, GATE or any other Job oriented Examination. I am not against Reservation to any community, my deep research regarding different communities like Bakarwals -where my findings shocked my soul because that community hardly even get Category Certificates due to number of reasons, faraway from education and jobs. The real deserving Economically Weaker Sections ( EWS) hardly get EWS certificates due to corrupted practices at different levels, which against create a Chaos among Meritorious students. The Meritocracy is at Vulnerable stage. In other parts of India Reservation is as per Population Ratio and at places not less than 50 % Reservation for General Category Population, why stepmotherly treatment with Jammu and Kashmir. This Solo Barefoot March which covers 160 kms from Kupwara to Qazigund is commiseration for General Category Population and a protest based on Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of Satyagraha. Wearing White Khata Cloth during whole Solo Barefoot March is a respect and honour to peaceful citizens of Jammu and Kashmir particularly Educated Youth & honest officials in supporting my peaceful Mission following constitutional guidelines.
