Sudden Hailstorm Hits Janipor, Roop Nagar, Chinor, and Nearby Villages in Jammu

Chinor, Jammu– :-A sudden and intense hailstorm struck Janipor, Roop Nagar, Chinor, and several neighboring villages in Jammu earlier today, catching residents off guard. The hailstorm, which began at approximately 3:25 PM, brought heavy rainfall accompanied by large hailstones, causing minor disruptions in the affected areas.
Local residents reported damage to crops and minor damage to vehicles, and some property, with the hailstones being unusually large for this time of the year. Farmers in the region expressed concern over the potential impact on their crops, particularly wheat and mustard, which are in the flowering stage.

Authorities have advised residents to stay indoors and take necessary precautions as the weather conditions remain unpredictable. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for the region, warning of possible thunderstorms and hailstorms over the next 24 hours.
