June 15: In an effort to combat the growing issue of drug abuse and promote awareness among the youth, Police organized an impactful awareness programme on drug abuse in Baramulla. The initiative aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and empower them to make informed choices.
The programme held at Govt Hr Sec School Wagoora, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. The lectures were conducted by the experienced staff members of the Police DDC Baramulla, who shared their knowledge and expertise on the subject matter. The awareness programme focused on prevention strategies, imparted essential knowledge to participants, including identifying symptoms and appropriate initial responses.
Mr. Mohd Ashraf & Ms. Uzma of Police Drug De Addiction Centre Baramulla delivered a comprehensive presentation, providing valuable insights and sharing their expertise on various aspects of drug addiction. The lectures covered a wide range of topics, including the harmful effects of drugs on physical and mental health, the signs and symptoms of addiction, and the legal consequences associated with drug abuse.
The awareness programme received an overwhelming response from the participants, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their understanding of drug addiction.
