Srinagar, Aug 14, KDC: In a significant reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the inter-cadre deputation of Nalin Prabhat, a 1992-batch IPS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, to the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) Cadre.
Prabhat’s tenure as Director General of the National Security Guard (NSG) has been curtailed as part of this decision. The deputation is set for an initial period of three years or until further orders, whichever comes first. Prabhat is expected to be posted as Director General of Police (DGP) in a top segment of the AGMUT Cadre.
Known for his expertise in managing critical situations, Prabhat’s transition to the AGMUT Cadre has been fast-tracked, with authorities requested to relieve him from his current duties immediately. The move was sanctioned in relaxation of standard inter-cadre deputation guidelines.
