24-Member Sri Lankan Youth Delegation Meets Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri in New Delhi

New Delhi, July 16- – A 24-member delegation of young political leaders from 14 political parties in Sri Lanka met with India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, marking the start of their two-week-long visit to India under a special exchange programme.
During the interaction, Foreign Secretary Misri welcomed the delegation and highlighted the importance of youth leadership in fostering stronger bilateral ties. He underscored their vital role as emerging stakeholders in the evolving India–Sri Lanka partnership and encouraged them to contribute to shaping a shared future roadmap between the two nations.
The visit aims to provide the delegation with insights into India’s democratic institutions, governance models, and development initiatives, while fostering greater people-to-people and political connectivity between the neighboring countries.
