Body of teenager, who drowned in river Sindh in Ganderbal, retrieved

Ganderbal, Aug 16 : Body of a teenage boy who drowned in river Sindh near Wayil bridge in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday has been retrieved, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the teenager identified as Haziq Imtiyaz drowned near the newly constructed Wayil bridge.

He said that soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched to retrieve the teenager from the river Sindh.

“After hectic efforts the body was retrieved from river Sindh,” he said—(KNO)
