Srinagar, Nov 16 : Gunfight has started between militants and security forces in forest area of Samnoo Nihama Area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday afternoon.
A top police officer told news agency Kashmir scroll said that a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in Samnoo Nihama
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
Meanwhile a top police officer also confirmed Kashmir Scroll about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
