Brainpreneurs centre brings health, education together to help children to unleash their potential

Srinagar, Apr 17 : Brainpreneurs children development centre, a first of such kind of centre in Kashmir where they bring education and health together completely intermingled to help children to unleash their potential with special focus on holistic development.

Sunaina Tickoo founder and CEO of Brainpreneurs Child Development Centre Srinagar told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that they are running the centre from 2020.

He said that two such centres are also functional in Jammu since 2018.

Brainpreneurs mainly focuses on children who are Neurodiverse and the centre is being under the supervision of their mentor Dr Sushil Razdan, She said.

“We felt that we are giving medicines to Neurodiversed children, there is also a huge need for therapeutic intervention as well. We are giving both therapy and medicine together,” she said.

She said doctors and therapists are working together at the centre and they are bringing physiotherapy and OT.

“We have helped several children in the last few years and they have joined normal school,” she said, adding more children are being brought here for early interventions and they are hopeful of very positive results.

“Neurodiversity is on rise and reasons behind it are being checked. Autism is not considered an abnormality as their brains are little different and we as a society have to prepare and we have to give right interventions for such children so that they can talk,” she said.

After Covid pandemic, cases of depression are coming to the fore due to social isolation and neuro disorder cases are being found in adults as well.

Sanjay Razdan working at the centre said that the aim of the centre is to help all those children who are having any deficiencies and enable them to make them join normal school and help them in getting jobs and earn for themselves and their families.

He said that Dr Sushil Razdan has been visiting the centre to provide holistic development to the children suffering from neuro related issues—(KNO)
