*Three houses damaged after fire triggers gas cylinder blast in Bandipora*

Bandipora, Apr 17 At least three residential houses were damaged after a massive fire broke out in the S.K Payeen area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district late Wednesday night, triggering a gas cylinder explosion.
Officials told news agency Kashmir Bulletin, that the fire started in one of the houses and quickly spread to adjacent structures. The intense heat led to the explosion of gas cylinder, further fuelling the flames and complicating the firefighting operation.
Fire and Emergency Services from Station Ajas rushed to the spot and launched a prompt response. As per the official, the fire had already engulfed three houses by the time the team arrived.
As per officials, the blaze was brought under control after sustained efforts through the night. No casualties have been reported so far.
The cause of the initial fire is being investigated.
