SANJY-2023: Joint intelligence, security conference held at Dharmund Ramban

Jammu: In order to chalk out a security strategy for upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY), a crucial joint intelligence and security conference was held on Friday at Dharmund in Ramban in which senior officers of Army, Police, central paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies were present.

The crucial meeting was convened with the yatra set to start after a couple of weeks and the yatra convoy will pass through Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

In an official statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Defence spokesman said that to strengthen security for Amarnath Yatra 2023, security Forces, intelligence agencies and civil administration officers held a joint intelligence and security conference.

The meeting was held at Dharmund in Ramban district.

Army said that ahead of the Amarnath Yatra 2023, this collaboration aims to enhance regional security, foster mutual understanding, and ensure a successful Yatra.

The meeting was attended by senior officers of army, police, civil administration and intelligence agencies.

Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban, Mohita Sharma informed that this coordination meeting has been held between army, CRPF and SSB.

“In view of Shri Amarnath ji Yatra, coordination meeting with Army, CRPF and SSB held at GOs Mess Kowbagh,” said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban—(KNO)
