Srinagar, Aug 17 : Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, Northern Army Commander, accompanied by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Chinar Corps, visited South Kashmir to assess the counter-terrorism grid and the overall security situation in the region.
During the visit, Lt Gen Kumar was thoroughly briefed on the Soldier-Citizen connect and the current state of operational preparedness in the area.
In his address to the troops, the Army Commander commended them for their unwavering dedication and professionalism, which has helped maintain momentum in ongoing counter-terrorism operations. “Your tireless efforts and commitment to the cause of national security are commendable,” said Lt Gen Kumar. “I urge all ranks to continue refining their tactics in light of the emerging threats, and to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.”
The visit also focused on fostering the relationship between soldiers and civilians in the region, a vital aspect of maintaining long-term peace and stability.
