Police organizes one day awareness programme for school children in Budgam

October 17: Police in Budgam conducted one-day awareness programme for school children at Police Station Magam, aimed at fostering understanding of local police structure and operations. The event held under the Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police, saw the active participation of 30 students from seven different local schools.

The programme featured a tour of the police stations and interactive sessions where students had the opportunity to engage with SDPO Magam Shri Aftab Awan-JKPS and SHO Police Station Magam, along with other officers from the District Police were held. These discussions provided students with valuable insights into the role, functioning and responsibilities of the local police force.

To further enrich the experience, lunch was also hosted for the students at the police station. Later, in recognition of their participation, certificates were also awarded to all students. Participating students appreciated the role of Police department and requested to organise such kind of awareness programmes in future to bridge the gap between police & Public.
