High Court of J&K and Ladakh Inaugurates Common Room and Cafeteria for Stakeholders

In a significant step towards strengthening judicial infrastructure and enhancing facilities for court stakeholders, the Honβble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh today inaugurated a Common Room and Cafeteria within its premises. The facilities were inaugurated by Honβble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Senior Most Judge, High Court of J&K and Ladakh and Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority, in the august presence of Honβble Mr. Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Honβble Mr. Justice Sanjay Dhar, Honβble Mr. Justice Waseem Sadiq Nargal, Honβble Mr. Justice Rajesh Sekhri and Honβble Mr. Justice Sanjay Parihar.
On the occasion, Honβble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Kumar highlighted that these facilities form part of the continuous and visionary efforts of Honβble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Ladakh, to modernize and strengthen judicial infrastructure across the Union Territory, with a focus on dignity, accessibility and efficiency in the administration of justice.
The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Shazia Tabassum, Member Secretary, J&K Legal Services Authority; Mr. Khursheed-ul-Islam, Registrar Judicial; Mr. Mohsin ul Qadri Sr. Additional Advocate General; Mr. Tahir Majeed Shamsi, Deputy Solicitor General of India; Mr. Jahangir Ahmad Bakshi Joint Registrar Judicial, learned Senior Advocates; officers of the Registry; and members of the Bar.
The newly inaugurated Common Room and Cafeteria have been designed to provide comfortable, accessible and functional spaces for Judges, advocates, litigants and court staff, thereby fostering a more humane, efficient and inclusive court environment. These utilities are aimed at ensuring convenience, facilitating meaningful interaction, and improving the overall court experience for all stakeholders.
