After Home Minister’s meet, Lt Governor holds important meeting in Srinagar

 

Srinagar, May 19, KDC: After a high-level meeting in New Delhi with the Union Home Minister, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha held an important security meeting with the top officers at Raj-Bhawan in summer capital Srinagar, sources said on Thursday evening.

They told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that Lt Governor Manoj Sinha after reaching back to Srinagar following Home Minister’s meet in New Delhi, the Lt Governor convened an important security meeting at 19; 45 hours with the top officials of the Jammu and Kashmir administration including Chief Secretary, Director General of police, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Inspector General of Police Kashmir zone besides other officers were also present in the meeting.

The security of minorities in the valley was one of the key agendas of this meeting, said sources.

Pertinently, Rahul Bhat (pandith) a government employee who was killed at tehsil office by militants this month in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The security preparedness for the annual pilgrimage (Amarnath Yatra) that is also scheduled to begin on June 30 after the COVID-19 pandemic was also discussed in the meeting. (KDC)
